NEW YEAR'S RESOLUTIONS

December 31, 2013

As this draws to a close and the new one begins people all over the world make all kinds of resolutions for things such as eating more healthy, spending more time with family, working more, working less.  How many of us make spiritual resolutions to read our bibles more, reach out to the lost, pray for the sick and oppressed, increase our prayer and worship time with the LORD?

Lets celebrate this new year with a glad heart and give thanks to our LORD Jesus Christ for ALL He has done on our part to secure salvation for us, to draw us closer to Him, teach us necessary lessons, or how about causing the sun to rise each day!  We are but dust - we are nothing without Him.  It is all because of Him that we have our existence.  He is the one who created us, He is the one to grant us another day, He is the one who pardon's our sins.  Lets make our resolutions this year to the LORD.  Lets decide to put Him first in our lives this year.

A friend once asked me on New Year's Eve to begin an email thankful list.  She was going through a nasty divorce and finding it difficult to keep her mind focused on the positive aspects of her day.  I indulged her thinking it would be an easy task,  We had to find one unique thing about each day that we were going to be thankful for.  That's it - just one!  We would email each other our one item for the day.  Well, with the good comes the bad and some days I had such a hard time finding one thing to be thankful for.  I struggled to think but sure enough, each day I could find just one thing, if not more that I wanted to give thanks for.

The idea worked so well that by the end of the first year we both had a better attitude towards life, and the people in our lives that we decided to extend the exercise for another year.  By the end of the second year, it was now a healthy habit to give thanks always.  I found that I was more thankful to the LORD for the simple blessings, when I spent time in prayer.

He is so good to us.  He never sleeps, or takes a vacation on us.  We never get a busy signal or voice mail that says "Sorry I missed your call...".  He is always working, always protecting, always providing us wisdom, administering angels to assist us, and the list goes on...  Can we be thankful for that?

I pray that in this new year, the LORD blesses you richly.  I pray that He opens your eyes to the simple blessings of each unique day, and grants you a heart of gladness and joy.  May you in turn, be a blessing to those around you, that they may see the light of Christ in you and come to know Jesus as their savior.  We have all heard the phrase "its the gift that keeps on giving".  Though it was used as a mockery, I believe that salvation from Christ alone is the perfect gift - the gift that keeps on giving (eternal life).  God grant us the boldness to speak to our unsaved family and friends that they may receive the gift of salvation this year.

Happy 2014.

THE END of the Road, Our GOD WILL COME!

CHRISTMAS BLESSINGS

December 24, 2013

I just wanted to take this time to wish all a blessed and very happy Christmas.
This year as we celebrate the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ, may we put aside our differences with those who have hurt us in the past or who are at odds with us now.  Lets open our eyes and hearts to those who are spending Christmas alone, the elderly, the homeless, the brokenhearted, the orphans, soldiers out in the battlefield, and those who have no hope.  Lets pray for them:

Father, We come to you, as humble servants of our Lord, Jesus Christ.  Your Holy word says where two or more are gathered there You will be.  We ask you to bless our brothers and sisters who are suffering this Christmas.  We ask that You will undertake for those who are living in war torn territories, those who are elderly, the oppressed, the brokenhearted, and all people who are lonely and alone.   Please send them your peace that surpasses all understanding.  Love them and care for their needs.  Father, you feed the birds of the earth, how much more than do you care for those whom you love from all walks of life!  Your very creation.  Please bring Your healing, Your peace, Your love to those who need it most.  May we all celebrate the birth of our Savior with a pure and glad heart this year.  Let our eyes be open to the many blessings that You have bestowed upon us and give You the glory.  Amen.

I pray the LORD blesses you and your families this Christmas and throughout the coming new year.  May He grant you His peace and strength to carry on His work, until He comes in glory!

Miracles Happen

December 8, 2013

I want to share with you a story about what happened to me this past week, for the sake of bringing Glory to God and offering encouragement to those who are in need of His intervention in their lives.

I have been out of work for several years.  I used this time to go back to college and finish my degree, graduating in May 2013.  Since graduating, I've been job hunting.  Its been a frustrating process as many jobs have hours that are not conducive to my needs, or I don't possess the proper skill set for the job I want.

My last job was very stressful.  I worked for a ruthless company with no compassion, no people skills, no nothing.  After ten months of verbal and psychological abuse, I finally left there totally depressed.

Not wanting to end up with another company like the last one.  I prayed, asking for God's guidance.

Just recently I was sent an email about a job fair at a local restaurant.  Every position was mentioned except the one that I wanted but I went to the job fair anyway and put that position on my application (Ask and you shall receive...MATT 7:7).  I met with the manager for a brief interview and she asked me back for a second interview.

At both interviews flexibility of hours was very important.  She needed someone to be able to work nights and weekends.  Being a single mom that would be difficult for me, however I thought that my mom would be able to help me with that.  She also needed someone to be able to start right away as we were approaching the restaurant's busy season.

When I asked my mom for babysitting help for nights and weekends, she didn't think she could physically manage it - as my little guy is quite a hand full and my mom has already suffered two heart attacks and has other health issues.  That left me with no options but to withdraw my application and keep looking elsewhere.  Mother's hours are very difficult to find - especially with unskilled labor jobs.

Feeling pretty distraught about the situation, I prayed and left it up to God to find me the right job, with the right boss and the right hours.  It was a task and a half so I knew that I wasn't up to the challenge.

The next day, I planned to call the manager back and tell her that I need to withdraw my application due to a conflict with babysitting.   Before I could call her, she called me and offered me the job.

I had to tell her that I don't have the babysitting back up that I thought I was going to have, that would allow me to give her the flexibility of hours that she was looking for.  She then tells me that if I can work 9-4 (essentially mother's hours) that she can live with that (miracle #1).

She had me scheduled to begin this week but that posed another problem as my child is out of school with a head injury and won't return until after the new year.  She then says to me "That's no problem, I'm still busy in January.  Stay home with your child and enjoy the holidays.  Call me when he goes back to school in January and you can start then" (miracle #2).

Keep in mind:  I was hired for the one position she didn't have open but the very one that I requested (miracle #3).

I say this to point out that God IS (not was - but still IS) the God of miracles.  He worked out every, not some but every, detail to my benefit.  What an amazing God!!!

Here is the miracle run down:

1.  I got hired for the position that was the ONLY position not listed as open.
2.  I got Mother's hours when she was looking for someone to fill in nights and weekends
3.  I can stay home while my child while he recovers and start in January, when she needed someone now.

What should have been a "Well, thanks for applying but I need someone right away for nights and weekends, so I'll have to hire someone else" totally turned around in my favor, and not because I'm anyone special - but because I serve an amazing God, who IS special!

It pays to pray (in earnest, not just for the sake of praying) and when it is God's will for us, ALL (not some but all) of the details will work out for our good.

If you are frustrated and praying about something, maybe a job, a move, or a tough decision, please don't give up.  God IS a God of miracles and He hears our prayers.  He is not slack in answering us.  Sometimes His plan is radically different than what we think we need or want, and it takes time to bring us around to see things from His perspective.  His plan is ALWAYS the better plan.  So be encouraged this day (not tomorrow, not the next - THIS day) that God hears and IS working on, and in your situation for your good.

May you be blessed and encouraged.  Trust in Him, the one and only true God who brought all things into existence, who loves us and seeks to bless us.

All praise and glory to Jesus Christ, our LORD and savior who works all things for our good and His glory.  AMEN.

Romans 8:28   And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.

NOTE:  It says "And we know".  This is a witness.  You can't know something unless you've experienced it.

Happy Thanksgiving to ALL

November 27, 2013

As Thanksgiving is upon us (here in the US), let us always remember to give Yeshua/Jesus thanks for all He has done to secure our salvation.  Paul reminds us in 1 Thessalonians 5:18 in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

Wishing ALL my brothers and sisters in Christ that reside in the US, a blessed and Happy Thanksgiving! And to my brothers and sisters abroad, may you ALL have a blessed and beautiful day in the Lord.  Truly EVERYDAY belongs to Him!  Amen.

I lift up all that are traveling and ask for God's mercy to be upon you, to give you peace and protection as you travel to be with loved ones.

October 4, 2013

Someone sent this to me in an email.  I don't know the original author as it has been around the internet - perhaps you have already seen it.  If not, please take a look as it shows the infinite wisdom of God and how He knows things far in advance.  He sets the stage to keep us safe, yet many times we do not see it as such.  We may sit with our limited view wondering what God is doing, thinking He must have lost His mind, when in fact that is the farthest from the truth.  May this short parable bless you all today.

The King and his Servant

A king who  did not believe in the goodness of God, had a slave who, in all  circumstances  would always say “my king, do not be discouraged, because
Everything  God does is perfect. He makes no mistakes!”

One day  they went hunting and along the way a wild animal attacked the
King. His  slave managed to kill the animal, but could not prevent his
Majesty  from losing a finger.

Furious and  without showing his gratitude for being saved, the nobleman asked
"Is God  good? If He was good, I would not have been attacked and lost my finger."

The slave  replied:

"My king,  despite all these things, I can only tell you that God is good,
And he  knows why these things happened. What God does is perfect. He is
Never  wrong!"

Outraged by  the response, the king ordered the arrest of his slave.

Later, the  King left for another hunt, this time alone. He was captured by
Savages who  engaged in human sacrifices.

On the  altar and ready to sacrifice the nobleman, the savages discovered
That their   victim did not have one of his fingers. According to them, only
A whole  person with all his/her parts intact could be offered to the gods.
The King  without a finger was deemed an abominable sacrifice for their
Gods. So  they released the King.

Upon his  return to the palace, the King authorized the release of his
Slave. He  received the slave affectionately.
God was really good to me! I was almost
Killed by the wild men, but for lack of a single finger, I was let go! But
I have a question: if God is so good, why did he allow me to put you in jail?"

The slave answered, "my King, if I had gone with you on this hunt, I would
Have been sacrificed instead because I have no missing finger. Remember
Everything God does is perfect. He is never wrong. He made you keep me in
Jail so I would not be with you on the hunt."

Often we complain about life, and negative things that happen to us,
Forgetting that nothing is random and that everything has a purpose.

Every morning, offer your day to God, don't be in a rush.
"

Ask God to  inspire your thoughts,  guide your actions, and ease your
Feelings.  And do not be afraid. God is never wrong!

You know  why this message is for you? I do not know, but God knows, because
He never  makes mistakes.......

What you do  with this message is up to you. May God put in your heart the
Desire to  send it to someone. God knows why He chose you to receive this
Message.  Please bless someone with it.

God is  never wrong!

GET OUT OF THE BOAT

October 1, 2013

Last week I was reading a familiar bible story to my son.  We read about Jesus walking on water and how Peter was also able to walk on water by the power of the Holy Spirit (Mat 14:28).   Peter was able to get out of the boat and walk towards Jesus, but as he looked around him and saw the waves, he became scared and started to sink.

We are just like Peter.  We feel strong and safe when we are walking with the LORD, but when we take our eyes off of the Savior, to look around at things in the world, we start to sink, just as Peter did.

The news is pretty gruesome today with murders, kidnappings, landslides, sink holes, fires, floods, and earthquakes.  It's all too easy to get wrapped up in those things (especially if you, or someone you know has had a tragedy in their life recently) and we begin to question our faith, wondering where is God in all of this?  That is the moment we begin to sink.  Peter got rebuked by the LORD for his loss of faith, do we really want Jesus to rebuke us for the very same thing?

We must never forget the Savior's great love and mercy for us!  Psalm 34:17 says, The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears and delivers them out of all their troubles.  And verse 19 says, Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the LORD delivers him out of them all.

Who are the righteous?  Those who were washed in the blood of the LAMB, who's sins are hidden in Christ Jesus.  Romans 4:7 tells us, Blessed are those whose lawless deeds are forgiven, and whose sins are covered.  Psalm 32:1 also confirms, Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered

Now that we know we are righteous, how do we know that God will keep His word to rescue us in time of trouble?  Psalm 34:7 affirms that the Angel of the LORD encamps all around those who fear Him, and delivers them.  He doesn't just put up a hedge of protection around us, but He delivers us also.  When Peter realized that he was sinking, his first instinct was to call on the LORD Jesus to save him.  Mat 14:31 says, and immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and caught him, and said to him, "O you of little faith, why did you doubt?"

We can clearly see that God wasted NO time saving one of his own.  The minute Peter cried out, he was saved.  The same is true for us.  The very minute we cry out to Jesus, we are saved.  He gets no pleasure from our struggle here on earth.  He seeks the lost, heals the lame, and offers grace and mercy to those who cry out to Him.  2 Peter 3:9 says this:  The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.

Lets challenge ourselves to keep our spiritual eyes on Jesus and not look around us in the natural, lest we get discouraged and start to sink in our faith.  We all like to make resolutions about our health, jobs, relationships.  How about our spiritual relationship with the King of Kings?  Lets resolve ourselves to allow HIM to guide our lives.  Lets fix ourselves on Him, especially in these troubling times.

He is coming soon.  His return is sooner today than yesterday.  Lets not be caught sleeping, but waiting with great anticipation for the return of our Blessed Hope!  Lets keep our eyes on the One who really matters, lets keep our eyes on Jesus!

I KNOW THE PLANS I HAVE FOR YOU

I was woken out of a sound sleep this morning at 6:27 am to a screeching sound much like the friction sound made from a hand rubbing over dry glass.  It was loud!  The sound got the cat howling in a way I've never heard before. It really got my attention. (I believe God wanted my full attention).  It was then that this bible verse came to me.  "I know the plans I have for you, plans for good and not evil".  I remember reading it in my bible, but couldn't recall where, other than knowing it was in the old testament.  I looked it up and found it in Jeremiah 29:11.  The New King James Version says this:  "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope". The New American Standard Bible words it this way: "For I know the plans that I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for calamity, to give you a future and a hope".  It is interesting to note that Jeremiah 29 is a message to the exiles held captive in Babylon.  God is giving them a word of encouragement.  Today, with all the negative things we read in the news, we can sure benefit from a word of encouragement from the LORD.  I believe God is telling us that no matter what we see happening around us and to us, we should not fret, nor lose faith, for He is in control, and the plans that he He has for us are good.

Psalm 91: 5-7  You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flies by day, nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday.  A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; But it shall not come near you.

I AM YOUR ROCK

April 23, 2013

I was inquiring of the Lord as to why it's been so long since He's spoken.  I have been busy in my personal life and thought that perhaps that is the reason He has been rather silent, then He spoke this:

Child, why do you allow such distractions to come between us?  Have I not told you to stay close to Me?  You ponder in your heart where I've gone when in fact I've been here all along.  I tell you that I'm always here with you.

I do not change, it is you, my child, who changes being blown around by the wind and the tides.  I am your rock, your solid ground.  I am eternal, constant, and change not.

The enemy seeks to hit you hard with such things as to lure you away from Me.  Fear not!  I am watching over you.  I always keep watch over My own.  I won't allow you to stray far from Me, before I gently lead you back.  You must allow Me to guide you and not buck at My lead.  You must be open to My gentle correction in your life.

I do not desire that any harm come to My beloveds, and I watch over you with a diligence beyond your understanding.  I am faithful!

When you allow yourself to slip away from My embrace, you can not hear Me and you open yourself up to the enemy who seeks an opportunity to come in  and rob you of your comfort and peace, that I provide you with.

Come back to Me now, My little ones, while there is still time.  Run to Me!  Embrace all that I have in store for you.  I seek my own with a love so sure and so strong.

Stay in My grace.  Drink of the water I have poured out for you.  Eat of the spiritual food that I have set before you.  You will find strength again, in Me.  You will be able to stand and resist ALL that the enemy sends your way.

Hebrews 13:8  Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.  (NKJV)

Eph 4:14  that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting...

John 4:14  "but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst.  But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life."

Don't Lose Your Focus

Daughter, Do not be discouraged, do not despair.  Much sorrow and darkness is coming upon the earth, but where the darkness increases, so does My light.

Be of good cheer, I walk with you always.  I am very capable of watching over My own.  I will not fail you.  Do not look around you so as to stumble or be in fear.  Follow only My lead.  Keep your eyes fixed on Me - your strength, your Savior; for I will guide you safely through the darkest hour.

Be diligent in My word to execute it in your lives.  This will strengthen your faith as you see My word defeat your enemies.

Do not allow fear to creep in to your minds and rob you of your peace and joy in Me.  Know that I have you securely in My hand and I have not lost one of MY own - No, not one!

Pray for one another that you may be strong for each other, lifting each other up and helping to carry each other's burdens.  All My children must be in one accord with Me and My will.

I am calling My church to repentance in this final hour.  Do not allow yourselves to be puffed up with pride, for this is the downfall of many.  Do not have self exalting thoughts as to give the enemy a way into your hearts.  Instead, seek My wisdom for your life.  Follow after Me, your ultimate example.  I came not only to redeem you, but to show you the way in which to conduct yourselves in complete holiness.  I have left nothing out from My word.  Do you think so highly of yourselves that you do not need My word to guide you daily?   Do you think you can navigate this darkness alone, without My light to guide you?  What would have happened to Moses and the children of Israel without My light to guide them? My children, do not fool yourselves into thinking you are capable of making it through the trials that are coming, without Me.

Fear not little flock, I am coming soon and with My rewards for each of you according to your works.  Great are the rewards for them who feed on My word daily and are careful to perform it in their lives.  For now, the trials but soon you will be home with Me and My Father, who loves you!  Prepare children, the hour is close at hand!

Deut 31:8  The LORD is the one who goes ahead of you; He will be with you.        He will not fail you or forsake you.  Do not fear or be dismayed.  I am you God.

Isaiah 41:10  Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you.  Surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.

Proverbs 4:25  Let your eyes look directly ahead and let your gaze be fixed
straight in front of you.

Gal 6:2  Bear one another's burdens, and thereby fulfill the law of Christ.

James 1:5  But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him.

Whom Do You Glorify, Yourself or Me?

Just after my usual morning prayer, I heard the Lord speak this to me:

Daughter, be still.  Be quiet before Me.  Know that I am your God and I have all things in the Palm of My hand.  I see all and know all that is going on with my people.  I will not leave a single one of you behind.  All who know Me as their Savior, and have called on My name alone for salvation shall surely know my sweet embrace.  I have not lost one of you.

You say to Me..."But Lord, what about this person who went forth boldly in Your name?  They were on fire for You!".  I tell you that they went forth in their own name.  I did not give them that assignment.

Yes, all are called to preach the good news to those who have heard not.  I ask, Do you do it for your own gain or to glorify Me?  If you truly love Me in your heart, you will be patient and wait on Me for instructions.  I will guide you to the field that I want you to work in.  That way the Body of Christ will function as it should, with smoothness, harmony, and peace.

I tell you now, do not try to make a name for yourselves here on Earth.  You will fail.  Lift Me up as Lord over your lives and I will bless the work of your hands.  If you try to go it alone, you will fall.

I love all My children.  You have been waiting so patiently for My coming.  Not much longer now before you will be home in Paradise with Me.  I long to have all of you here with Me, just as a mother eagerly awaits the arrival of her unborn child, I also wait with great joy and anticipation of the arrival of My sons and daughters.

Look to Me for your instructions in these last days and I will guide your footsteps in surety and safety.

Matt 7:21-23  Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord', will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter.  22 Many will say to to Me on that day, 'Lord, Lord', did we not prophecy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?  23 And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; DEPART FROM ME, YOU WHO PRACTICE LAWLESSNESS.'

Proverbs 14:12  There is a way which seems right to a man, but its end is death.

Acts 12:21-23  On an appointed day Herod, having put on his royal apparel, took his seat on the rostrum and began delivering an address to them.  22 The people kept crying out, "The voice of a god and not of a man!"  23 And immediately an angel of the Lord struck him because he did not give God the glory, and he was eaten by worms and died.

* Friends, let us always check our motives.  What have we done of ourselves?  Isn't everything that we accomplish because of Him who gives us breath and life?  Lets make sure that we ALWAYS glorify Jesus in our actions and deeds as well as our innermost thoughts.  All we do and say should be to His glory and His alone.  Let us humble ourselves and allow Him to work through us.

The Diligent Student will Prevail

Daughter, hold fast to your faith.  Things are about to get ugly upon the earth.  The darkest days are yet to come.  Days that are so dark, it will be nearly impossible to navigate.

You MUST study My world.  For in My word, I have given you all that you need for this time that you are living in.  Do not turn to the left or the right.  Stay the course and keep your eyes on Me, as a student following the trainer.  Allow Me to train you in MY ways.

Be diligent in your studies of My word, and do not allow the enemy to lull you to sleep.  Fight his temptations to give up.  He will flee from you when he sees your strength in Me.  He has nothing over you.  You possess ALL the power you need to defeat him in My name.

Fear not My little ones, who are in Me and call on Me for protection.  I will not forsake you.  I have made a covenant with you, to love and protect My own.

For those who refuse Me - woe to you!  The time is very near when you will suffer the consequences of your choice.  I appeal to you to come to Me and allow Me to change your heart.  Turn away from your sin and call upon My name for salvation - and salvation shall surely come.  For I am faithful to watch over My word.  It is not My will for you to suffer.  I have already suffered in your place.  It is finished.  I have completed the task that My Father set before me.

All that you have done apart from Me has been dealt with at the cross.  Repent!  My time is hear to come get My children.  Won't you be one of them?

Proverbs 4:27  Do not turn to the right nor to the left; Turn your foot from evil.

Deut 31:8  The LORD is the one who goes ahead of you; He will be with you.  He will not fail you or forsake you.  Do not fear or be dismayed.

Psalm 121:7-8  The LORD will protect you from all evil;  He will keep your soul.  The LORD will guard your going out and your coming in from this time forth and forever.

If all this was happening 8 years ago.  How much more then will it intensify now, as we draw ever closer to the LORD's return for us? ...
